What is Mobile Money Interoperability (MMI)? MMI is the service which allows direct and seamless transfer of funds from one mobile money wallet to another mobile money wallet across networks Why is it important to have MMI? Prior to the introduction of MMI, mobile money operators largely operated as closed platforms. Users of one network could not directly transfer money to users of other networks.
