GhIPSS Presents Dividend to Bank of Ghana, Reinforcing Confidence in Ghana’s Digital Payment Ecosystem
Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS) has presented a dividend of GH¢14.58 million to its sole shareholder, the Bank of Ghana, following another year of strong financial and operational performance.
The dividend, declared for the 2025 financial year, reflects GhIPSS's continued growth, prudent financial management and its commitment to delivering secure, efficient and interoperable payment infrastructure that powers Ghana's digital economy.
The dividend was presented by the Chief Executive Officer of GhIPSS, Mrs. Clara B. Arthur, on behalf of the Board, Management and Staff, to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and Chairman of the GhIPSS Board, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, during a ceremony held at Bank Square in Accra following the Company's Annual General Meeting.
Presenting the dividend, Mrs. Arthur expressed appreciation to the Board of Directors, the Bank of Ghana and the staff of GhIPSS for their dedication and contributions to the Company's success.
"Our strong performance reflects the collective dedication of our Board, Management and staff, as well as the continued support of the Bank of Ghana. We remain committed to strengthening Ghana's payment infrastructure, advancing innovation and interoperability, and creating sustainable value for our shareholder and the broader financial ecosystem," she said.
Receiving the dividend on behalf of the Bank of Ghana, Governor Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama commended the Board, Management and Staff of GhIPSS for another year of strong operational and financial performance.
"The dividend reflects sound corporate governance, prudent stewardship and the important role GhIPSS continues to play in advancing Ghana's digital payments ecosystem. I encourage the Company to sustain its focus on strengthening the resilience, security and interoperability of the national payment system while continuing to support innovation and financial inclusion," the Governor said.
The presentation ceremony was attended by senior officials from both institutions. The GhIPSS delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Clara B. Arthur, included the Company's first Chief Executive Officer, Bishop Frederick France, the Chief Finance Officer, members of the Executive Management Team and other senior officials. The Bank of Ghana delegation was led by Governor Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama and included the First Deputy Governor, members of the Bank's Executive Management and other senior officials, underscoring the strong partnership between the two institutions in advancing Ghana's digital payments ecosystem.
As the national payment systems operator, GhIPSS continues to play a pivotal role in enabling safe, seamless and interoperable electronic payments across banks, mobile money operators and other financial institutions.
