The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS) Archie Hesse has once again been recognised with a prestigious award, this time as the Outstanding Digital Payment Technology CEO of the year. The Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation bestowed this honour upon him, celebrating his exceptional leadership in guiding GhIPSS over nearly 12 years.
Mr. Archie Hesse, the Chief Executive of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Ltd (GhIPSS), was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the digitalization of payments and financial inclusion at the Ghana Fintech Awards 2023 held over the weekend.
Financial institutions have been urged to boldly showcase ACH Direct Credit Near Real Time (NRT) services on their digital platforms to facilitate easy access for customers. Highlighting and appropriately labelling the NRT option, will raise awareness among customers about this payment service, encouraging its utilization.
Shoppers using gh-link cards during the Valentine period, from February 14 to 17, 2024, will enjoy special rewards at the two China Malls located on the Spintex Road and Zen Petroleum at Odorkor. The four-day promotion is a collaborative effort between GhIPSS, Stanbic Bank, China Mall, and Zen Petroleum, aimed at creating awareness on the use of the gh-link card as a payment card and not just as an ATM card used for cash withdrawals.
The Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS), Ghana’s National Payment Systems Infrastructure Provider, today announced a pioneering partnership with Visa, a global leader in digital payments. The partnership will have GhIPSS process domestic transactions denominated in Ghana Cedi with Visa cards issued in Ghana.
