FirstBank Ghana paid a courtesy call on Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS). The delegation was received by our Chief Executive, Mrs Clara B. Arthur and members of the GhIPSS senior leadership team.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen executive-level relations and exchange perspectives on developments within Ghana’s digital payments landscape. Discussions focused on collaboration across GhIPSS’ interoperable payment systems and the collective role of participating institutions in advancing secure, efficient and inclusive digital payments.

As a participating bank on the GhIPSS platform, FirstBank Ghana leverages GhIPSS systems to provide digital payment services to its customers. The visit reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to supporting the growth and resilience of Ghana’s interoperable payments ecosystem.
GhIPSS remains committed to working closely with all participating banks and stakeholders to enhance the efficiency, reliability and accessibility of its payment platforms in support of Ghana’s financial sector and broader economic development.
