Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS) has engaged officials from SWIFT on developments in Ghana’s payments ecosystem and opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.
The SWIFT delegation, comprising Paul Mogeni and Keitumetse Matlhwane CA(SA), paid a courtesy visit to GhIPSS, where they were received by Chief Executive Officer, Clara B. Arthur, and Chief Business Officer, Akosua Blay.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange perspectives on developments within the payments landscape, discuss areas of mutual interest and reflect on the relationship between GhIPSS and SWIFT.
Discussions also explored opportunities for continued collaboration as Ghana’s payments ecosystem evolves, with growing emphasis on efficiency, connectivity and innovation across financial services.
The engagement underscores the importance of partnerships across the payments industry in supporting the continued development of Ghana’s digital payments ecosystem.
